Bhuvan Bam: TikTok owners should monitor their content
Image posted on Instagram by Bhuvan Bam.Content creator Bhuvan Bam addressed the YouTube vs TikTok war during an interview with India Today Television on June 8. Speaking about the controversy, Bhuvan said that it is imperative for TikTok owners to monitor their content.
"Being a YouTuber, I agree that YouTube's content is much more superior than TikTok. If people say TikTok has cringe content, YouTube also does. But content is subjective. However, the videos that I have seen on TikTok, if their owners cannot monitor such content, what is the use? For example, the video of a cat hanging from somewhere. Someone even posted a video wherein an elderly lady was seen being choked," Bhuvan told India Today Television.
"Tiktok's reach is amazing. But are they monitoring it? I think there are several issues with their content and they need to fix it. YouTube, on the other hand, is amazing. TikTok owners should monitor their content because bahut zyaada dikkat hai unke content mein," he added.
The YouTube vs TikTok controversy ensued after TikTok star Amir Siddiqui posted a video in which he called out YouTubers. Amir Siddiqui's video upset several YouTubers including CarryMinati, who thereafter, posted a roast video in response to the TikTok star. CarryMinati's video was removed by YouTube and it led to massive outrage on social media soon after.
Meanwhile, Bhuvan also had an advice for young content creators as he said, "Don't start your journey by calling yourself an influencer. I am not an influencer. Every day, I learn thousands of things. Make content that makes you happy. Do whatever you want. Don't run after expensive things. Good content and subject will get you viewers."
Bhuvan Bam is known for his YouTube comedy channel BB Ki Vines.
